As a recently retired teacher, I am discovering a love for writing that I never really paid attention to before. In the past two months I have created a website which explores my other passion, all topics related to weight loss.
www. easy-weightloss-tips.com has kept me busy, happy, and motivated to learn more. It has been an excellent way to channel my love for writing and it has been a source of much frustration and much satisfaction! If someone had told me when I retired in June 2007 that I would be a webmaster and a writer, I would have laughed!
With degrees in Physical Education, Special Education,and Administration and Supervision, I had a wonderful teaching career of 31 years. I taught high school for 25 years as a learning disabilities resource teacher. In 2000, I had the honor of being selected as one of the top five teachers in my city of approximately 6,000 teachers! My greatest career achievements though, were the many students that graduated and went on to college and successful careers. Many of these students still keep in touch, which means so much to me!
Before taking on the website project, I loved to read. I'm sure I'll get back to it sometime soon. Traveling is another love of mine. Since retiring, I have visited Florida, New Orleans, Dominican Republic, and Cozumel. I will be going to Costa Rica shortly, and then will have to retire my suitcases for awhile...
