I'm from New Jersey, originally, having lived in the state for eighteen years before attending college in Washington, DC. After graduation from college, I found employment with the federal government and moved to Northern Virginia.
Eventually, I was hired as a mainframe COBOL programmer in the 1980s. However, after Y2K, mainframe COBOL programming jobs disappeared.
After being let go from a federal government contracting position in 2002, I returned to school to obtain a third BS degree in Computer Information Systems, magna cum laude. My first degree was a BA in International Studies, and my second degree was an AAS in Information Systems Technology.
While seeking employment in the Information Technology sector, after upgrading my skills, I am currently employed as a substitute teacher.
I enjoy staying home and doing freelance writing work. My passion and current interests are writing and reading. I'm currently enrolled in the advanced book writing course through the Institute of Children's Literature and am working on a teen/YA novel in my spare time.
