I am a mother of two with a degree in Elementary Education. After teaching for 10 years, left the classroom to stay home with my boys. Since then, I have worked as a freelance writer and editor, mainly for textbook companies. I love having the flexibility to earn a living working from home. It has always been my goal to be here at home when my boys get on the school bus and when they come home.
My hobbies include scrapbooking and I am a huge sports fan. I love attending my boys' games and we are huge Ohio State and Cleveland sports fans.
My passion is ...
scrapbooking.
I know too much about ...
Ohio State football!
My parents always told me ...
I was important and capable of doing whatever I set my mind to.
My childhood ambition ...
was to become a sportscaster. Then I realized that would not be easy once I had a family. Instead I entered the world of elementary education and publishing!
My favorite memory ...
summers at Cedar Point with my two boys.
Why I write ...
I write to educate. Since leaving my full-time teaching position, I see writing as a way to continue to educate others.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
I have not had much time to read lately. My latest guilty pleasure are the Stephanie Plum novels by Janet Evanovich. I love her wit. I watch and listen to whatever my kids happen to flip on!
My first job ...
was working at a day care center in my hometown of Sandusky, Ohio.
My best moment ...
my two best moments were the days my boys were born.
My inspiration ...
is my mother. She has had a rough life and health issues, but keeps fighting.
