I am a freelance writer from Florida. I graduated from Eckerd College, a medium-size private campus nestled among enormous oaks on the banks of Boca Ciega Bay. I have been employed in the building supply industry for thirty years. I hold a degree in Creative Writing, and freelance as time permits.
I served in Vietnam from December '70 until September '71 as a helicopter crewman; sort of a part-time door-gunner and part-time first-echelon field mechanic.
I married twice and have two children who are both by Leigh, my second wife. Bill is a Florida home builder, and Kim is in the banking profession.
I returned to college recently and graduated May 20, 2007. I enjoy riding my motorcycle and also have an 18' boat that spends entirely too much time behind my garage and not enough in Tampa Bay or the Gulf of Mexico.
I have been published many times in guest columns in St Petersburg Times and The Tampa Tribune. My articles have appeared for fee in several local newspapers.
I intend to be a successful writer.
