I fell in love with books as a kid, discovered the joy of writing in 9th grade, and got my BA in English Literature. I have had many different careers in publishing: editor of legal books, proofreader, curriculum author, children's book buyer in a bookstore, tutor of college students, and library assistant. I have spent the last eight years working as a web developer; I am fascinated by the Internet and technology as publishing. Right now I am a graduate student getting a master's degree in Library and Information Science.
I am currently writing middle grade novels. It is my favorite age range, I think many of these books are astoundingly well-written! Some of my favorite books when I was a kid are: Charlotte's Web, Beastly Boys and Ghastly Girls (weird poems), Harriet the Spy, That Darn Cat!, and Follow My Leader. Some more recent books that I love are: Rules, by Cynthia Lord, Whales on Stilts! by M.T. Anderson, and Coraline by Neil Gaiman.
