I'm nearing the half way mark for life, if you go by the familial average of death. We don't live long enough to be a burden. However, years of life aren't a concern. What's most important is living the present moment fully. I had been slacking. Gradually stripping away all of the unnecessary and unsatisfying, I'm moving toward a truer sense of self and fulfillment.
Reviewing my life, the clearest, happiest moments happened while I was actively writing. Most of my writing has been for my personal enjoyment or to entertain friends and family. Writing articles, correspondents and other copy work for an inside marketing department was gratifying. Currently I'm working on my "voice" and polishing my grammar skills.
My ultimate goal is to divide my time between writing marketable non-fiction and fiction. They both satisfy different parts of me. Personal motto: it's only worth doing if you're going to give it your all.
My passion is ...
communicating effectively.
I know too much about ...
sinus infections? Seriously, too much knowledge does not happen. What we know is a drop in the ocean of what we don't know.
My parents always told me ...
reading is antisocial.
My childhood ambition ...
was to overhear someone discussing how a book I wrote made them feel. It still is.
My favorite memory ...
is of my grandfather telling me he was proud of me with tears in his eyes.
Why I write ...
When I'm writing, I'm a healthy happy joy to be around. When I'm not writing, none of that applies.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
I'm reading homeschooling manuals. I'm watching Eli Stone and Grey's Anatomy. I'm listening to the Garden State Soundtrack and Rocco Deluca and the Burden.
My first job ...
was as a professional clown, beginning when I was 12 years old.
My best moment ...
with half a dozen other adults around, I took charge and helped deliver a surprise baby in a bathroom.
My inspiration ...
Ralph Waldo Emerson, Robert Heinlin and Eleanor Roosevelt are inspirational but my children and the finite amount of time we have to live motivate me.

Officer's Log: 15January2004. Lima Island will be barricaded this weekend and I, Captain Indigofae, have hand picked the best and brightest for my crew. Johndopp will be on sails. Timm and Zowee will handle guns. Underlord can take carpentry, since I'll be captain. Master of bilge will be Skippyjeff. Ahh, Skippyjeff. I heart him. Never the looking for love type, I was not expecting to find my soul mate on the virtual seas of an online role playing pirate game. Soon after I began to regularly play Puzzle Pirates, I joined a crew called the Plague and met some of the most interesting adults ...
