Greetings & thank you in advance for your interest in me!
You Should Know...
The memoirs with "Happenstance" in the title are actually some rough drafts about my best friends Rock N Roll experiences during the 80's. I am merely ghost writing her adventures during that era and we wanted to get some feedback about some of the stories here on Helium before we put them all together in our bestselling book.
Me Growing Up...
I consider myself to be a pre-destined, uncertified, refried hippy. Why do I call myself a refried hippy? It all started during (not at) Woodstock, 1969 when the energy of all that Peace and Love traveled west to Santa Barbara, California where they reached the reproductive organs of my parents and just about nine months later, I was born on May 30, 1970.
From that point, I lived in complete bliss and virtual harmony. Life was paradise. I lived on roller skates. I rode my bike to the beach. I took the bus to State Street to buy stickers and Hello Kitty stuff. I spent many a summer day collecting pollywogs in the creek with my best friends, Genae and Shamae (twins, each with black braids so long they had to tuck them into the back pockets of their jeans when we collected the pollywogs). I truly loved life. I had a natural appreciation for animals, human rights, art and architecture, and anything growing green. I was on the right track. How blessed I was early in my life.
Then suddenly, I was plucked out of my wonderful childhood home and stuck in a little Rte 66 town, complete with neon motel signs all along the main drag. The town: Flagstaff, Arizona Home of the Meanest 5th Graders on Earth. Apparently, my refried hippie appearance and attitude did not go over well with those kids. I showed up in Vans and corduroy OP shorts and I was tortured. Those kids knew absolutely nothing about embracing diversity, let alone cool surfer attire. They were the ones behind the times, not me. To this day, when people ask me about living in Flagstaff, I usually just say, "The best thing about living in Flagstaff was going to Oak Creek and stopping in at the Crystal Magic Shop in Sedona." Flagstaff really is in a beautiful setting and there really are some good people living there (just not some of those 5th graders in 1980/81). I'm a firm believer that, "people make the place". Group a bunch of beautiful people together in a beautiful garden location with a nearby creek and you've got heaven on earth.
Something That Happened When I First Came on Board at Helium...
Today is Monday, May 12, 2008. A momentus occasion. Earlier today I received a phone call from a woman from Harpo Broadcasting. I received an invitation to speak on a show hosted by (fill in later) on Oprahs radio station! The subject: Route 66! I just cannot get over how crazy this all is! Who would have thought that the town of Flagstaff would land me a spot on Oprahs radio station?
I had completely forgotten about the story I had submitted on Oprahs website. The furthest thing from my mind. They had been asking for stories about Route 66. I had a few stories about that! (None of them involved any of those evil 5th graders.) As it turns out, I was interviewed by Maya Angelou. I did not know who she was, however, I sensed a certain peaceful energy coming from her and we had a nice chat about kids at the end. To my surprise, the day following our conversation, I received a "Daily OM" entry that just so happened to contain a sample of her music from her album "Miss Calypso". I had no idea! Too groovy! Surely, it was written in the stars.
What I've Been Doing...
Over the last three years I have been developing a media group which includes a quarterly regional magazine called "Phoenix Body Mind and Soul Magazine". It's fun and challenging. I'm giving myself until 2019 to turn it into a money making endeavor. Through the Law of Attraction, that will happen TODAY! BTW... The Law of Attraction is a valuable universal truth to grasp... I'm living proof.

One word sums up the main reason why we must clean up our mess: OXYGEN It is imperative that we have it. Put murder, war, burglary, human exploitation, oppressive governments, illegal immigration, the existence of aliens, the public demand for the price of Angelina Jolie's Oscar awards gown, etc., etc. etc., aside for one moment. None of these atrocities will exist when the atmospheric oxygen levels are too low to sustain life and what's left is riddled with toxic auto exhaust fumes. (And that's looking on the bright side!) On the day when the depletion and pollution of the atmosphere, rai...
