I am a 69 year old self employed auto mechanic. I live in Colorado Springs and have an excellent view of Pikes Peak from the front door of my auto repair shop. My mood changes with the weather and fortunately we have an average of 300 days of sunshine here. On those sunny days all I have to do is take a look at the Peak and I'm "good to go". I won't talk about the other 65.
My interests are music, cooking, camping, fishing, old cars, and writing.
I have a story to write. It is not an autobiography nor a compilation of 69 years of trivia. I am not a senile old man hoping to become famous by publishing my memoirs.
I envy those of you who possess the writing skills that I lack and I hope to gain some knowledge and experience by participating on this site.
I am a 70 year old man. Life has been good to me. I am blessed with a loving family, my 96 year old mother, my 2 sons, 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and my siblings. I have experienced sorrow with the death of my wife and a son many years ago, but my life has been filled with with joy & satifaction, watching my children and their families grow and prosper, and being bleesed with countless friends and good health. Until 2 months ago, I was content with my life and & had accepted the fact that I would live the rest of my days alone. Well meaning friends have tried to "connect"...
