My favorite subject in elementary school was creative writing. My mom still has a little story I wrote about a pony I found in a treasure box, buried in the ground. I named the pony "Treasure".
I have been writing for much of my life, mostly in my private journals, for newsletters and small personal distribution lists. When I allow it to, I can easily get into that stream of consciousness where it just flows out of me. I'm sure many of you can relate.
I am a new member to Helium (4/07) and am very excited to have found it. I love the challenge of writing on various topics and reading so many interesting articles.

It can be difficult to maintain our spiritual balance during these current economic times. The news is filled with words like layoffs, cutbacks, bank failures, rising foreclosures, major companies declaring bankruptcy, bailouts and more. The list goes on and on.
