About me

Born in India, studied in Presidency College, Madras and later in Utkal University in Bhubaneswar, India. Worked in the Department of English, AM Jain College, Madras-27 (Chennai in Tamil Nadu) India and later under Utkal University, Bhubaneswar for more than 3 decades. Joined the Faculty of English in Sri Sathya Sai University, Bangalore and later became the Principal of the University Campus. I worked for 15 years with Baba and relinquished my job in 2002.

I did my PH.D on Walt Whitman's poetry and published several books and a few renderings of Baba's books in to English. Many of my poems are published that are included in a few anthologies, wrote short stories, one act plays and few commentaries on Matthew Arnold's Sohrab asnd Rustum, Shakespeare's As you Like it and a few translations from Telugu to English. I published a collection of poems from Telugu to English recited by the Baba before delivering His discourse.

The articles I wrote in the helium are from my life experience and they are all original creations. I am very much indebted to Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba who has given me a new sense of direction to my life.

I came to USA on a lecture tour immediately after 9/11 and delivered a lecture in Manhattan on spirituality with particular reference to the teachings of the Baba. I spoke in almost every state Centre in USA organized by the United States Sri Sathya Sai Council. I travelled widely in India and some of the countries in the world. I visited South Africa, England and France where I went mainly to deliver lectures focusing on the Baba's teachings.

I have three children, two sons and a daughter married to a doctor and four grand children. My hobbies are singing and listening to music.
