: About Me

I have been writing since I could write; however, I didn't focus on it until the last few years. My first writing job was for a movie website. Those articles were very enjoyable. The work was short-lived, but I did get to hear some wonderful words from my editor before they stopped using freelancers. I had fun writing those articles and miss the work.

Most of my writing continues to be in the nonfiction realm, however, I have submitted a younger children story to a few magazines. I am currently taking the Institute of Children's Literature course and that has been an encouragement to me.

I plan to continue on this writing journey for the rest of my life. Hopefully, as time goes on, I will be making a bit more money for it too!

On a personal note, I have three children, one husband, and a fish. I speak Spanish and English (if you couldn't tell). I lived in Spain for almost 7 years so I had to learn a few things to communicate.

Have you ever noticed that the grocery store at night is a different place after 8 pm than in the daytime? It's filled with single men buying essentials like beer, deodorant and microwaveable Buffalo wings; and single women buying diet coke, nail polish remover and salad. There are also the couples - not the ones who have been married for at least five years and come to the store with a purpose - the ones who are trying to get to know each other over aisles of noodle soup and potato chips.
