Fly

At the summit in an abrupt crystal clearing

unexpected as a desert oasis

I look down, out, scanning the tops of tall pines

which summon the eye by inexorable inches

towards miniature houses

cradled in the breast of the valley

The rich breeze lifts my arms like Balsa wings

as I inhale its heady bite and feel

that I could bend my knees arch my back

and jump

hands still stretched and grasping

at handfuls of the intoxicating transport which envelopes me

lips parted to let the thrill rush down into my belly as I fly

perfectly...
