G.K. Dickey is an independent journalist and manuscript editor living and working in "The Big Wide Open" from his home office in Elko, Nevada.
Nevada's gold mining country is the setting for his first novel "Glory Hole." Crystal Bay, Nevada, at Lake Tahoe is the setting for his second novel, "Murder By Modem." Both books are complete, independently reviewed with high regard, and awaiting publication.
Dickey has been a lifelong journalist, which included teaching high school Journalism and English in Lodi, California.
After editing newspapers in Idaho, California and Nevada, he turned to fiction writing, finding it a liberating approach to getting closer to the truth. In that vein, he likes to describe his approach as "faction" - fact-based fiction.
He graduated from Woodland High School in Woodland, California, before earning his Bachelor's of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri's Columbia School of Journalism.
