Well, I stumbled onto this intriguing site while browsing for sites that might help me learn to write successfully enough to work from home sometime in the future. Right now, I'm stepping out into public displays of creativity that I've never tried before, so be gentle!

I live in the Pacific Northwest with my boyfriend, our three children, and two dogs; a Border Collie and a Jack Russell Terrier...and one ten year old fish. It occurs to me now that I should write an article on the care and life span of seven-cent fish, since I seem to be an expert at it!

By day, I'm a sleepy mom with a happy, chaotic schedule. By night I'm a 911 dispatcher and have been for seven years. It's a job I have a love/hate relationship with, however there is no better place for blazing life lessons into your brain!

I have a vicious, black sense of humor that is usally shared only by people who have known me for a long time or social misfits. Humor is my stress relief and I appreciate it in all it's forms! I also love to read...anything, everything, on any topic from any writer. My favorite things to read are either funny or helpful and I'm always astounded at the power of words to transform my own state of mind or life and long to write well enough to do it for others.

I'm about to turn thirty eight years old, and while I've always written in some form or another, it's always been for myself and close friends only. With each passing year, I feel more capable of coalescing my thoughts into something that may be called creative or helpful! I suppose we'll see...wish me luck!

I am a relative newcomer to the world of Jack Russell Terriers. I have always had Border Collies. Border Collies were, and still are, my very favorite dogs. Where else can you find intelligence, humor, and an ant-like work ethic all wrapped up in one gorgeous black and white furry package?
