: About Me

I was born in Michigan and through the years ended up in Wisconsin.

I am fiftyish and have wanted to write but haven't had anyone around to encourage me. It's easy to just lag when no one expects anything from you.

I've done a lot of things, High school, two years in the army, two years in college had kids then two more years in college.

When I say I've done a lot of things I mean a lot of different experiences and have acquired different abilities. I'm a closet writer, but I knit, crochet, sew, farm and play one video game on a regular basis. I have also volunteered as a master gardener and have been a youth leader in many different programs such as boy and girl scouts, Sunday school, and 4-H. Anyone knowingly reading my articles will pick up on the fact that I now tend to favor the 4-H program above others. I've served in the army and have a son in Iraq and a stepson who served and got out to become a teacher.

Thanks to my youngest daughter I became more knowledgeable about dogs, rabbits, horses, sheep, goats and cats now we are learning about Cockatiels.

I try to make my own mind up about things. Many times I'm accused of being a liberal, and others I am being called a conservative. Both times the words are being used as if they were swear words. I hope that means I was winning the debate I was in.

I have opinions but try to let the other person have their say as well. While I'm not overly religious I do try to follow the 10 commandments. I also believe that you may get your way in an issue now but eventually,if you are wrong, you will pay. So I'm careful in my dealings with people.

I should add that I am a grandmother with teenagers and new babies that I try to spend time with.

And my husband, who is not an after thought but a person of indescribable qualities who is the love of my life and my eternal frustration. Somehow it works though.

I was awarded a merit ribbon at the local county fair for a cross stitch picture of a baby in a bowl. It the first time I got a top award in anything.

To have a voice in the Universe.And hopefully help or entertain othersl

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I read JD Robb, Kay hooper,Stephen King and similar authors. I listen to Wisconsin Public radio. I do not watch brodcast TV. I purchase movies on disc.

My first job ...

I got my first job at seventeen as a grocery store clerk. And I did walk five miles to and sometimes from work.

My best moment ...

When I resetablished communications with a sister after three years.

My inspiration ...

I guess I take it where I get it. I know a lot of people in my life that I admire.
