How often should you shoe a horse? Well my answer to that is as little as possible. Horses have gone for many years without shoes, so why start now. There are sayings that horses feet wear down because they do more work, this is true but the hoof is a very fabulous thing, if it wears down it will grow to replace what was taken off.
