I love words, both written and spoken. As a result I always have a book in my purse, am trying to learn several languages, and I love to write. Known for being brutally honest (aka - a big mouth), I particularly enjoy writing for the editing capabilities.
Currently addicted to Terry Pratchett, I am re-re-reading all his books. I discovered my favorite genre in 1970, science fantasy, with The Hobbit. My mother had been pushing me to read Tolkien for years. Little did she know.
Motivated by a desire to entertain, amuse, and enlighten, I write with hope that those who read my articles smile at least once. I find it interesting that I am frequently enlightened by some of the articles that are kicking my article's behind.

Carpe Jugulum takes place in the mountains, in the cliff-side village of Lancre on Terry Pratchett’s Discworld, which goes through space on the back of four huge elephants standing on the back of a turtle that is as big as the world, certainly as big as Discworld.
