About me - Matt Bird

About me

What's there to say, really? I'm a Canadian Journalism student who loves to write. I've done it since I was a child and I hope to continue writing 'til I'm in my grave. Prior to Journalism I went to the University of Toronto, St. George Campus for English and History, so I'd like to think I know my stuff.

At the moment I'm trying to eke out a living by doing some freelance work over the summer. I really want to prove to myself that, yes, I CAN make money from writing. I hope companies out there will help me out in this endeavor and give me some work.

(Oh, and if you notice some extra u's in my work, I apologize. That's the Canadian grammar in me working its way to the surface. It's hard to control, I swear.)

Briefly me

My passion is ...

sleep. Glorious sleep.

I know too much about ...

video games. Just look at my articles, for pity's sake.

My parents always told me ...

that I needed to get out more. And now I do. Kinda.

My childhood ambition ...

was to beeeee the veeeery best, like nooo ooone ever waaaaas DUH DUH DUUUUH (No, not really.)

My favorite memory ...

isn't PG. Sorry.

Why I write ...

I'm good at it. (I think?) Plus, hey, it's fun. Getting paid for making things up is a dream come true. One day, Fiction, one day...

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

Reading, short stories by Philip K. Dick. Watching, Myth Busters. Listening to, Avenged Sevenfold. Not all at the same time, of course. (Wouldn't that be awesome, though?)

My first job ...

was a paperboy. What else?

My best moment ...

is yet to come, I think.

My inspiration ...

will remain anonymous, lest they get a fat head about it.

1 of 1

With Dalton's massive flying machine in the ocean and your path ahead clear - that is, looking for a way to bring back Crono - head to the Last Village. Talk to the villagers and one will mention a suspicious figure at the North Cape. Put Frog in your party for extra storyline content and head there. Once there you'll find Magus, a fellow survivor of the Ocean Palace debacle, who reveals the extent of his history with the era and Lavos. He then insults Crono, goading Frog into a fight - and if you want, you can take the sorcerer on again, mano a mano, with the amphibian swordsman. Beating M...
