At Thirty-two years of age, I am able to boast a life that led me to find my dreams and passions. Currently, I am a high school Digital Graphics and Animation teacher in South Texas. What led me here is an interesting path that seemed, at one time, to go no where. As a young girl, I excelled in the sport of Fast Pitch softball. Focused on a goal to get a college scholarship, I found myself deterred in my teenage years. Trying to fit in and be accepted in a majority Caucasian town, I dated a young man who was in Latino Street Gang recruiting from Chicago. I quickly got lost in the lifestyle and my goals tumbled down fast along with my relationship with my family. With the help of a teacher and persistent parents, I escaped the gang life and ended High School with an offer to play softball in college, many awards from the speech and debate team, and a new found talent for the preforming arts. I played Softball for two years, and after getting injured, I went on to pursue another Passion...Musical theater. After five miserable years, I moved to South Texas and found an opportunity to be a teacher through an alternative certification program. I LOVE my career. I loved it so much, that I obtained my Masters in Teaching and Learning with Technology and am now in my first year for my Doctorate in Education.
Due to my own strength to leave a mentally abusive relationship, I took the opportunity to be a single parent and raise a wonderful son. Although I obtained my dream to become a teacher, my other dream of performing is still a goal I will tend to. For now, I am stable in my career, life, and who I am.

Public schools and private schools have the main goal of educating each child. Public schools have a second agenda of not allowing George Bush's No Child Left Behind act close them down. No matter what justification a school may have for opening its doors every school year, the failure of a student can be blamed on a culmination of the teacher, administration, parent(s), and the student. After being enslaved...
