Olive Lewis who was nominated as "Women of the Year" is an individual who has been a leader and an advocate for young people for many years, She has dedicated herself to the youth of he church and has gone beyond the call of duty to inspire and encourage the youth to stand for Christ.
Through this dedication and commitment she started the "Teens In Touch" program for the teens to come together every Friday evening to discuss the youths feelings on different issues. As AYS leader she encourage the pastor to let the youth become involved in the church by allowing them to become elders, deacons, deaconesses, Sabbath school teachers and let the third Sabbath of every month be youth day. She started a Youth for Christ Training Institute in the basement of her home for the youth to train as elders, deacons, deaconesses and Sabbath school teachers.
Being so dedicated to the youth she inspired them to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and as result they started to call one another to pray for whatever problems they are facing. That's not all she made herself available to them anytime of day or night if they needed her to pray with them. She showed them that they could have fun being a Christian by taking them out bowling, skating, basketball games, out for pizza and taking them on youth retreats. Till this day she still has youth calling her to pray with them for whatever problem that they are going through. She also became a mom and a grandma to one of the teens Shemeka Lupoe Dollar who adopted her as her spiritual mother who is married and has three children, Chad Lupoe, Destiny Dollar, and Desire Dollar.
She is also a writer, a poet and an artist. She is an author of a published book called "Three Shades of Blackness", International Poet of the year 2003 and was nominated for an award in 2002 and 2004. Recently, she had a short devotional thought published in one of our very own Women's devotional book called Colors of Grace. She also, developed Bible studies just for youth called The JCG (Jesus Connection Gang).
Her greatest desire is to see that every youth would be saved when Jesus comes back again.
She was born in Boston, Massachusetts and is the fourth oldest of thirteen siblings on January 22nd.
Several of the youth she mentor and taught are still active in the church today.
Words cannot describe the love she has for young people.

When I wrote to glorify Your name, You were the one that gave me the flame. Wherever I went, I knew that my time was well spent, No drop of time did I waste as I would vent, Not out my frustations, but words of praise, Is all my voice could do was raise. Even when walking out in nature, Your presence with me was even greater. I have missed Your presence in my life, How do I know? I have had a lot of strife. When I walked and talked with You, I knew that I could a...
