About me

Hi!
I love my life with my hubby of 16+ years and our 5 kids! Our oldest is learning to drive, and our youngest is in Kindergarten. Our 4th one has multiple disabilities. If you know what Agenesis of the Corpus Collosum is; I'd love to hear from you!

I love our church, and I run the ministry for families with disabled children.

What makes me smile? When one of my kids serves me popcorn and mocha!

What makes me laugh? Seeing people trip. Not if they are hurt, but seeing someone flailing around to keep their balance cracks me up! I'll rewind a movie to see a good trip!

What makes me mad? Parents who cuss at their kids, or are just plain mean to them.

Favorite movie? Lake House and The Last Sin Eater.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

Helping women laugh at life's dissapointments

I know too much about ...

Agenesis of the Corpus Collosum, chromosomes and children with disabilities

My parents always told me ...

"remember who you are"

My childhood ambition ...

I wanted to be a trash man...Wierd I know, but ours always made a mess and I had to chase down all the trash. I was sure I could do a better job!

My favorite memory ...

Seeing my daughter learn to walk just before her 5th birthday...after being told she'd never leave her wheelchair

Why I write ...

Writing relaxes me. It helps me order my mind. I prefer to write about things that I struggle with. I always learn something about myself.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I'm trying to read the One Year Bible..but I'm behind. I listen to Air1 and my favorite band is Dizmas

My first job ...

Wendy's...cashier because I was so friendly.

My best moment ...

Seeing the CD's of my workshop sell out!

My inspiration ...

People who still shine, even in a hard life. It's okay to hurt, but not to let it dictate who you are.

"The teacher has decided not to take the job, so we will be having subs until a new one is hired." OH great! This should be fun. The first day of school, a Special Ed class, and a Jr. High PE teacher behind the desk. Talk about setting a class up for failure! It was 5 weeks into the year before ...
