Born and raised in Northern Ohio, now past 40 and after many setbacks over many years, I am FINALLY able to present my poems to you!
My hope has always been to be able to encourage my readers, whether with a poem they relate to, that let's them know they're not alone, a poem that helps them work out some frustration or with a poem that simply brings them a smile for a moment!
My Sweet Release
To write is to state my opinion,
To express my inner-self,
past, present or future.
To turn on the mind to so many emotions.
For writing is my sweet release.
I can scream or complain,
I can cry or laugh,
I can sing, shout, smile,
and no one has to listen to, hear,
or see my many emotions,
only by choice.
You choose to enter
my life, my thoughts,
for a page or two.
I do not feel as if I'm intruding.
Thank you for sharing a moment with me.

My passion is ...
writing! and building a future for my 4 wonderful sons!
I know too much about ...
what it is to be taken for granted and feeling pain.
My parents always told me ...
"You're too much of a giver"!
My childhood ambition ...
was to be the ultimate wife and raise my own kids!
My favorite memory ...
(memories, I must say) are of the births of my sons!
Why I write ...
because it is "My Sweet Release" in whatever situation.
My first job ...
was as an Order-Taker at our small Hometown Ice-Cream Stand!
My best moment ...
is any and all positives in the day!
My inspiration ...
My 4 Sons, My Dad and Mom who have always been there for me! The nickname AmyDuey deriving from them as a child and blossoming throughout the years.

Can they trim our trees? Who carries our long-distance? Am I registered to vote? How about cheese and crackers? Do I own a boat? Can I ask some survey questions? Will you answer honestly? Do I have the paper del...
