Having been born one of the very first Baby Boomers, and educated in Ann Arbor, Michigan, I have seen much and learned much about life. Life experience, education, and humor are valuable tools for any aspiring writer and I have reached the point in my life where I am ready to earn money at my keyboard.
For over a year I have posted daily compositions on my blog site at blogit.com. A group of loyal readers from throughout the world have become my friends but in today's economy, it is time for me get serious about using my writing skills for more than making friends.
Perhaps Helium membership will be the venue in which those seeking writers will challenge me to write for them. Upon request, I will be happy to submit samples of writing for your evaluation. The only areas, in which I do not feel competent to attempt writing, are song lyrics and poetry, essentially the same thing.

I think that life today will be looked at as the apex of human existence by those who follow us. Our level of comfort, leisure, diverse employment opportunity, medical care, housing, education, disposable income, entertainment, etc. will slowly erode as our burgeoning worldwide population consumes diminishing resources, land, food, water and necessities of today's life.
