For the past thirty-five years, I have been a recognized teacher of writing. However, only now that I have retired, have I had time to devote to my own writing. I say that I retired, but I still teach a comp class at the local community college, I run book discussion group for the county library, and I do work for a textbook publishing company. I now have eight to ten hours more a day to devote to these other areas.
In the past, I published several articles in magazines that focus on educational issues and ideas, but I haven't succeeded in the creative writing area. A few years ago, I was a finalist in a "Twilight Zone" writing competition, and I was so excited. Unfortunately, I lost.

I also love to travel. I fly somewhere at least once a month. In the past year, I've been to France, Quebec, Georgia, Alabama, Arizona, Illinois, Vegas, New York, and California.
My other love is reading. I read everything I can get my hands on.
In between, I do housework, keep my husband happy, and dream up stories as I'm cleaning.
