I'm an avid reader/writer who is thrilled to have finally found a place like Helium. After obtaining my journalism degree, I had short stints at both print and online magazines, including Truckers News, Overdrive, www.datelinealabama.com, and www.crimsoncomedy.com. While I love to write, and find it very therapeutic, my passion lies in editing. I can't read an email anymore without taking out my mental red pen and making corrections.
I'm currently working for a large private university, where I'm fortunate enough to have obtained a Master's degree in business and marketing. I love my job, and am glad to have found an outlet for my writing on the side, since I don't get to do that as often as I'd like anymore.
In my free time, I have an on-again off-again love affair with running. I completed my first marathon in January 2008, and might attempt one more before I resign myself to being a half marathoner for the rest of my running life.
