Hello, all. My name is Michael J Link but feel free to call me Mike. I love the Lord, my indescribably gorgeous wife, and the daughter I've been waiting for forever who is infinitely more than "worth the wait".

I am thrilled to have found this site. My two fantasies since childhood have been to play Major League Baseball and to write the great American novel. My teachers and friends have all told me that I should be writing but I never had an outlet for it. Plus the distraction of trying to find the perfect woman and have exceptional children always pushed my writing time to the back burner. Well, King Jesus has now blessed me with both and pointed me to Helium.

I am so looking forward to sharing my thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a creative way with creative people.

I have played in the same stadiums where Babe Ruth and Tom Seaver made their names. I have traveled to the other side of the planet to secure the best woman in the world to be my partner.

I have faced my own mortality at least twice and lived to laugh another day. I have kissed some of the most beautiful women ever created.

I have performed on stage, sometimes even dancing! I have corresponded with two US Presidents. I visited the Pentagon soon after 9/11.

I held my dying father in my arms. I have felt the presence of the Lord and also seen the devil's handiwork. I have loved and been loved. I have hated and been hated.

I have run long and fast. I have used crutches. I have mourned the loss of my parents and exulted at the birth of my princess.

In other words... I'm pretty much like everyone else and I can't wait to see how that comes out in my writing.

I have found my dream destination. At forty years of age, I finally discovered the tropical paradise I have long dreamed of. Balmy climes. Picturesque scenery. Unmolested nature. Majestic mountains. Stunning beaches. Wonderful resorts. Some of the most beautiful people on earth and certainly the most hospitable and friendly. And all at fifty pesos to the dollar.

I am referring to the beautiful islands of the Philippines. My wife, daughter, and I travelled there from Florida ten months ago and spent six of the most relaxing weeks of our lives.
