After a long career writing for and about technology companies, moved to southern Oregon in 1990. From 1990 until 1995, worked as a consultant to Quarterdeck Office Systems, of Santa Monica, California and Paul Mace Software in Ashland, Oregon. In 1993, worked with gaming pioneer Trilobyte (The 7th Guest). In 1994 worked with Time Warner Interactive to launch their new blockbuster Naval strategy game, AEGIS: Guardian of the Fleet.

In 1995, served as president of The Vertex Group and began publishing Southern Oregon Magazine, an award-winning, 560-page e-zine. Vertex also published www.program.com, the Net's leading developer/programmer resource site. Co-founded the Southern Oregon Telecommunications & Technology Council and was appointed by Governor John Kitzhaber, M.D. to the Oregon Telecommunications Forum Council in 1997. Member of Rotary International(Paul Harris Fellow)and former director of ten regional and state non-profits.

The Arab nation appears to be moving into two, opposing and often adversarial camps. For purposes of this commentary: the traditionalist faction and the militant rejectionists. The traditionalists are championed by president Hosni Mubarak of Egypt; King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia; and King Hussein of Jordan, joined by the King of Morocco, the King of Bahrain and the Sultan of Oman.
