For starters, I grew up in a small town in Texas. I never ventured far from home until I turned 19. I spent some time in the Army and finally got to travel! I also deployed to Iraq.

My experiences have inspired me to look at the brighter side of life. I try to keep my glass half full.

I am happily married and plan to have children some day. I currently live with my husband, a temperamental Siamese cat and a Jack-Russel Terrier. There is never a dull moment!

My inspiration to write comes from everything I see. I soak in what the world has to offer my imagination. Something as small as a blade of grass can spark my creative side.

Microsoft Word Count has to be the most depressing feature ever invented when you are a college student. Term papers nag at you every day, and there is this little number at the bottom left of your screen ticking away as you type. Tick Tock Tick Tock.
