: About Me

I have traveled the world in the military and have been married for several years. My marriage has gone through some tough times (probably more than most see) and has survived. My wife is bipolar which presents a whole new set of experiences that most people do not deal with or understand.

I also am the father of a two-year old little girl. I may not know everything about raising a daughter, but I have studied up and am great at learning from experience. Everyone I know says I am the best father they have ever seen, so that says something about my parenting ability. Besides, she is always happy and healthy, so I must be doing something right.

So, despite my young age (28), I actually have a bit of experience and wisdom. I hope to share as much of that as I have here.

I love to write, I just have not found the best outlet for it. I write a technical manual on a daily basis (yes, very boring) and I have graduated from the Institute for Children's Literature. Neither of those is really where my writing interests lie. I much prefer to write opinion using fact and statistics to back me up.

I tend to procrastinate a bit and have a difficult time coming up with a topic to write about. Helium solved this problem for me, all I have to do is select a topic and start writing. So easy.

Now, I just have to find the best channel for me to write in frequently. I like writing about Scripture, but I do not really fit in with any stereotype for Christians or any other religion, so bare with me. A lot of what I will have to say will require explanation of terms and may be a bit more in depth that people are ready for here, but I think you will be interested. At the very least, you will be emotionally effected on one side or the other by what I write. And even stuff you disagree with so much it gets you incensed is good writing.

I am the person who talks little, but tends to be insightful. When I speak, people are usually awed by what I have to say. When I write, though, I have a hard time shutting up, especially if I have a passion for the topic. I will try not to write things that are too long, but if something needs to be said. . .

It is hard to pick a side in this debate. Part of me wants to side with "No" simply because when you think on the surface, it sounds like a highly volatile situation: a boy, a girl (or boys and girls), alone, sleeping, and hormones.
