I grew up with the war in Vietnam hanging over all of us. Went to college for a year and a half, dropped out and got nailed by the draft. Went right down and joined the Marines (big John Wayne thing). Spent 7 years, two of which were in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. Yeah, I was one of those guys (not John Kerry).
Anyway, got out, went back to college. Got my BA in Humanities, invited to the Phi Beta Kappa society (WOW), then earned my Master in Teaching. Did the teaching thing until the emotional roller coaster took its toll. I am so impressed by teachers who can handle it.
Agent Orange came calling eventually, so that was the end of my working world. Decided to give writing a try. So here goes. Wish me luck.
