: About Me

I am a 57 year old mother of five children; all grown. Last year I decided not to allow myself to fall into that empty-nest pit. I went back to college and I am studying paralegal. With a host of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren supporting me, I can only succeed.
I was born in a small, one stop-light southern town in North Carolina, but got' my education in the Big Apple, (New York City). I learned then that there were no limits to my aspirations or ambitions and it would take more that a small town to keep me from my goals.
I have had other college experience, but could never settle on what it was that I wanted to do or be. Well, at the ripe age of 57, I think I have found my niche, law. I am loving every bit of it and plan not only to learn law, but use it.

The above profile may give you some indication as to what I am about.  Now let me update you on me now.  I am now 60, as of December 11th.  I graduated Everest University with an Associate degree in paralegal studies.  I also re-enrolled to get my BS in the same area.  The rest is pretty much the same, except I have another great-grand child with another coming, my 89 year old mother moved in with me, which gives me more topics to write about and I am much busier than before.  This is all a good thing.  I am just excited to be able to do the things that I do and still have great family time.
