I have one daughter, Lisa and a granddaughter, Jordan.
I'm the resident writer and director of women's concerns for Hope4kids International. I've been to Uganda ten times and work with the widows of Uganda-starting them in businesses and working to bring them dignity.I also work with the Karmajong children who have been forging for food in garbage pits-we now feed 420 of these children daily.
As an author I travel and speak around the country to churches, civic groups, organizations and schools.

Today is my 53rd birthday. How did I get to be 53? While growing up, every birthday my dad would tell me about the year they tried to skip my birthday. He said one year they figured I was too young to know what birthdays were all about so although I did know it was my birthday they didn't celebrate it.
