Since I was a child ideas have flown into my brain and whizzed and buzzed around in there till I let them out. Crazy ideas about plastic kangaroos and soccer playing elephants, freaky aliens, and brussel sprout monsters. Somedays I just have to put pen to paper and write them down or I'll go crazy. Once they're out I can relax and write about normal things until the next loopy character settles up there.
So apart from being slightly insane, I'm a Scottish Kiwi living and working in Japan. I recently married a Japanese guy, and we're hoping to start a family sometime in the near future.
When I'm not writing humorous stories and poems for children, I like to write about Japan and about living and teaching English over here. It's really what I know best at the moment.

English pronunciation is an important part of learning English, but many ESL students go about trying to improve it the wrong way. When you want to improve your grammar do you sit down and just study 'grammar' or do you focus on a particular area that you've been having difficulty with, for instance articles or prepositions?
