My life has been one of exploration, passions and diverse interests. I was fortunate enough to be the daughter of a world traveling scholar and an opera soprano. Through them I learned about history, food, music, art, philosophy and, well, life. Everything I write is a tribute to them and the lessons learned. Along the way, I have even added a few obsessions of my own - mainly dance and horses.
Currently i am working on two books. "The BlackHawke Cookbook" and "The Edible Trail: Memories of International Kitchens." and have several articles on dressage and riding with music.

My relationship to the mortgage industry has been an extensive one; you could say it runs in the family. I was a realtor/consumer mortgage advisor for over 14 years, and my brother worked in retail and wholesale mortgages for over 20.
