My name is Chad Hedge and I am 29 years old. I currently live in Folsom, Ca, and have been in the area for 6 years. I was born and raised in Selma, In, and relocated here after leaving the Army. i have been married for 10 years and have two handsome boys, 9 and 6 years old.

I currenly a firefighter and have spent my fair share of time doing the job circle, trying to find my place. I am happily commited to the fire service and everything that comes along with it.

I have always loved reading and writing, however I never realized that there were outlets that could let me express my non-judgemental opinions on so many levels like I can here at helium. Any criticism or suggestions are openly appreciated on any of my articles, as long as tact is present, and hope to write and post as many articles as possiable, not for the money, but for the experience.

There was a point in time when College basketball was honest. Forget the money, and the fame, the college players were there for one reason, the love of the game. Now as we look at Derrick Rose, Jeremiah Dominguez and Scott Morrison, we begin to long for the days of the Milan Indians in 1954, (Hoosiers). There has to come a time where education is the key to survival, not money. Derrick Rose will more than likely be drafted into the NBA, and not finish his college education. And why would he? He will be 19 years old making millions of dollars playing basketball in the big leagues.
