A life-long Connecticut native, married 28 years, and the mother of a wonderful college-bound daughter . Life is exciting!
Currently, I am the broker/owner of The Master's Key Realty, a full-service real estate firm in Windsor, CT. With over 25 years in real estate sales, I have earned a number of designations and certifications in real estate: ABR, GRI, CRS, PSCS, SSFR to name a few. It's a passion of mine to help people get into their first home.
In addition to real estate, I have been certified as a trainer for the Credit When Credit Is Due course, and have a personal mission to help people with budgeting, debt elimination, and credit management. I also work hard to help people avoid foreclosure and bankruptcy whenever I can.
I author Real Estate LESSONS from LISA ORME, a blog that discusses all things real estate with a focus on Hartford County, Connecticut.
I most enjoy spending time with my family & close friends. I also enjoy Bible study and teaching, vocal music, praise and worship,... and, oh, writing.
With all this, I have little time for anything else, but I'm always promising myself to find time to play my guitar, take more pictures, do some scrapbooking, walk more, eat better, lose weight, and take more vacations.
My passion is ...
living for Jesus, getting out of debt and helping others do the same.
I know too much about ...
diets and healthy foods.
My parents always told me ...
wait until you have kids of your own...
My childhood ambition ...
to have kids of my own.
My favorite memory ...
too many to choose from!
Why I write ...
I can speak my mind without getting interrupted!
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
I read something from my Bible every day.
My first job ...
Working at my nana's ice cream store, the Dip Top
My best moment ...
I hope I haven't lived it yet!
My inspiration ...
anyone and everyone who faces adversity with faith, hope and perseverance!
So You Want to be a Real Estate Agent? You've got to be kidding, right? If I had $100 for every person I've seen get into and out of real estate in three years or less, it's doubtful I'd need to sell another house; and I'd probably own the one I live in debt-free! Real estate is an intriguing profession and it attracts a wide variety of people and skill sets. Because of this, there's no secret formula to guarantee an agent's success. To sell real estate, you need excellent people skills, and a big Rolodex. Even more important is that your Rolodex is full of personal contacts that TRUST you...
