Greeting!
My name is Nicole and I am a 30ish okay late 30s mother of one. I was born and raised in the "City of Brotherly Love". My dream has always been to educate. I have wanted to be an English teacher for as long as I can remember, however, my passion is writing.
I have written a variety of short stories, skits and poems. The majority of the stories that I write are non-fiction. Although I've shared a lot of my works, I usually I do not write with the intension of anyone reading my materials. Sometimes they are usually for self. I can't pinpoint the exact stage in my life that I began writing for I have always had a journal. Inspiration sometimes comes when I least expect it. Someone may say something to me; there may be a life event; or I may think on something a friend or family member shared.
Being a newer mom does not always afford me an opportunity to write. Nevertheless, I have no complaints. After my daily devotional (reading my bible), if I am not in the company of family and friends, and am taking a break from writing, I may spend that time reading a novel.
I have always felt that life is a classroom in that there is always something to learn.
To my fellow writers, remember God first, stay true to yourselves and always follow your heart.

Ahhh children... what a blessing they are. At times their innocence can be therapeutic and their sincerity is often a means for comic relief. A few weeks ago, my soon to be 5 year old was intently playing with his new Transformer when all a sudden and quite out of the blue he asked, Mommy, when am I going get my boobs? Not quite sure I heard him correctly, I turned off the water (I was washing dishes) and said, Sweetie, Mommy didn't hear you. What did you say? Listening to his question more intently this time, he asked me again, when am I going to get my boobs? Admittedly, his question stu...
