Marisa Hefflefinger was born in Pennsylvania where she now lives with her husband and two young children.

In 2001, Marisa earned a bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education, and a minor in writing. She later graduated with a 4.0 GPA and masters in Teaching and Learning, focusing on literacy and language. She has been tutoring and teaching English/Language Arts for the past ten years.

As a freelance writer, Marisa has written web content for a variety of sites and subjects.
