Luis Eduardo Bastias is an engineer, computer scientist, and management theorist that has worked as a scholar, coach, and business consultant, specializing in knowledge management and ontological coaching.
In 1996, he was one of the first to propose the use of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) in the fields of organizational development and requirements engineering.
He is currently a member of the Editorial Team of The Working Manager, member of the Adjunct Faculty of University Canada West, and he collaborates as a reviewer for the official journal of the International Federation for Systems Research (IFSR, www.ifsr.org).
Among other academic activities, he has been professor of information systems management, cybernetics and cognitive sciences at the Universidad de Vina del Mar, Head of Information Systems Management at the Commerce School of the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso, and Dean at the Vina del Mar Campus of Universidad de las Americas. He has also worked as an adviser and project manager in several companies such as ENTEL CHILE.
