I sit in my house and stare at the door.
Will I stay in or decide to go out?
I'll likely stay in with my cats and pout.
I'm a pretty girl, I think to myself,
I'm in good shape, I should really go out.
What if I miss him, my own Mr. Right,
What if he's out there waiting tonight?
But instead the white screen beckons to me
"You'd rather stay home and romance me."
And so I stay home in my work clothes and write
And hope that I'll meet him some other night.
