Not completely.

First, there are good educational shows on TV. I make my kids limit their cartoon watching (because they sometimes believe Sponge Bob ie: when he said that jelly came from jellyfish), and they turn on Discovery Kids or the Science Channel. I know I've learned alot from TV, and I think it adds to the school experience.

Second, I think it's important to know what's happening in your own culture. I have a friend who never watches TV and she doesn't know anything that's happening around her. Of course, that means she doesn't get much news, except for what she reads on Yah...
