: About Me

Hello!
I'm a newlywed, married to an amazingly grounded man who is the proud father of an awe inspiring 18-year step-daughter. I am nine years his junior and 12 years her senior- At times I'm like a bridge, better yet a translator, being as a middle aged man and a teenage girl barely understand a thing the other one says.
We have a nice balance now, but a few months back it was like we all were ready to battle with every breath. It's a thankless yet rewarding experience being a step-mother to a teen who doesn't think she needs a Mom or a friend.
My husband is self-employed and I work as an administrator punching the clock from 8-5pm. We are almost like the "Odd Couple," he a night-owl and me an early riser, he not too concerned with dust and me a near neurotic with OCD tendencies. It's funny because we think alike we just react to life totally different and that is what makes it work.
I have always loved writing and being creative. I love to make great things out of what appears to be nothing which really is the essence of navigating life with some grace. Mosaic art is the best example of that and my life like a Mosaic is all the small things in life and the love and friendship is like the grout which holds it all together.
I would love to write a novel at least once in my life. As of late, with getting married only a few months ago, traveling clear around the world on honeymoon, working full-time, going to school part-time and helping to manage an almost clean and happy home, I just get overwhelmed at the thought of where do I fit it in to a life that is already busting at the seams.
Well I was doing a search on "Google," my work time crutch, when I stumbled upon "Helium." I do think this will be a great relationship to come, only if I can find the time.
