I am a husband of 24 years; a father of a teenager; a somewhat avid Buckeye fan; a pet owner of 3 cats and a black Lab; a member of a United Church of Christ church; and a special education teacher; and an aspiring writer(what a surprise).
I enjoy being involved at our church; reading novels; being politically active in progressive causes-it has been interesting living in Ohio, the epicenter of the political maelstrom-and being addicted to news programs.
I enjoy reading, surfing the net, cooking Mexican food, and walking. I love attending plays, both dramatic and musicals-I have been able to go to some Broadway plays. I also enjoy being in nature, hiking and camping. So I love urban and rural environments.
My passion is ...
my family, politics and spirituality
My childhood ambition ...
to be a missionary.
My favorite memory ...
a cabin in western Colorado.
Why I write ...
I like the play of words and want to write a novel someday soon.
My first job ...
working at a concession for $1/hr!
My best moment ...
when I got married.
My inspiration ...
my faith, my family and desire to make life better for others.

All of this occurs with insects whose brains are smaller than the period at the end of this sentence. Geese migrate thousands of miles in a cooperative way that rotates leaders to allow them rest. A goose who needs care has escorts on both wings to make sure that he or she makes the distance....
