I was watching an episode of "Cops" and a sergeant was telling his officers before they went out into the field to remember that it's 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. It dawned on me that this was life itself. I try to remember that as I plod through my days. It's not easy to remember, but I try. I then saw an episode of the Simpsons where Lisa was explaining to Homer that the Chinese use the same character for crisis as they do opportunity. Homer then yelled, Crisitunity! I thought that was quite brilliant as well. It's an interesting kind of mental yoga to press yourself to always be cognizant enough to find the good in every mess.
I am a musician. I have several albums of Electronica out there. Writing and composing seems to nicely balance the mind.

You may have heard the utterly obtuse slogan- "One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter." This is so dumb it's breathtaking. A true freedom fighter seeks to MINIMIZE civilian casualties.
