About me

I was born in a small town in Alabama. I lived in Alabama until about the age of nine. My family moved to Florida and this is where I spent most of my childhood years. Our family traveled a lot; my dad was in the military. I have five brothers and no sisters, maybe that would explain why I was a tomboy growing up.

My brothers and I shared a lot of great times together. We climbed trees, rode horses, and made up games no one ever heard of. My parents always had games such as fuss ball, pool tables, and of course we always had pets, mainly
dogs. Personally I have always enjoyed writing and my greatest aspiration is to become a writer. I love to write poetry, and articles about family, and the riddles of life in general.

I graduated in Tampa Florida then pursued the career of management. I worked for the Burger King Corporation for three years. Management was very challenging and I found myself living at my job. I began to seek out other opportunities that were less demanding.

At the age of twenty-three I got married and moved to Philadelphia. I wasn't satisfied with Philadelphia; I desperately wanted to travel more like I did with my parents. I joined the U.S. Army.

For eight years I toured Europe and other countries while in the U.S. Army. I truly loved all that traveling. . I had the opportunity to visit Nigeria, Russia, France, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Italy, Holland, and Turkey.

I attended different colleges and went to school when opportunity came my way. When the Desert Storm started I decided I no longer wanted to be in the military. I didn't reenlist but received an honorable discharge. I was also pregnant with my one and only child and did not want to raise her in that environment.

Some very painful changes in my life inspired me to write more than I ever have. My mother had both of her legs amputated above the knees and I have been caring for her for the last eight years. Before my mothers mishap, I had been attending college to obtain my associates degree and on to my masters degree in business administration. I am still attending college full time.

My mother and I have grown so very close and my husband and daughter really are an inspiration to me. We all have a lot of fun together. Now, at age 50, I continue to attend college and I'm striving to complete what I started.

I'm looking forward to obtaining my bachelors degree in business administration by 2012 and then on to obtain my masters degree. My dad went to school when he was in his 60's. My dad retired from the military and civil service. Before my dad passed away he greatly inspired me to continue my education.

My career goals are to own my business of writing on the Internet probably hosting web sites or something in public relations. I have several ideas that I am exploring. In the near future I hope to have articles posted in popular magazines and have published my first book of anthologies. Everything I write will hopefully inspire others in a positive way.
