About me - Michelle Ross

About me

Hello fellow writers and readers! I began writing poetry when I was fourteen. Back then it was a way for me to release all the emotions I felt. After graduating high school I began writing even more. At the time I only wrote poetry and worked to get some of my poems published.

The accomplishment I am most proud of with my poetry is having my poem "True American Heroes" published on the Angel 911 CD project website(which is no longer in operation). The project helped earn enough money for every member of emergency services in New York City to receive the Angel 911 CD.

About five years ago I decided to start trying to write a novel. That has been a long, difficult journey for me. It took me two years to find my niche, another year for research, and two more after that to finally complete the rough draft of my first novel. It is currently in it's sixth editing phase, which I hope will be the last until I find an agent or publisher.

On a different note, I am a happily married mother of three. I'm fortunate enough to be able to stay home and take care of my family and devote time to writing.

Dear Ex-Husband, Though you may think I have lost my mind, I am writing to thank you for the way you treated me while we were married. For always trying to change me, and never being happy with the changes I made to please you. For making sure to tell me how fat I was, how poorly I cooked, for how selfish I was, for telling me I was a bad mother and even for telling me I was a bad writer I thank you. For keeping me from my family and friends, the ones who truly cared about me, I thank you. For cheating on me with a stripper, of all people, I thank you. For all the lies, for all the hateful...
