About me:

I'm twenty two and live in the UK. Manchester to be exact. I enjoy watching films, reading and playing the odd game. But above all, I enjoy writing. It's one of the few things which I feel I have a talent in.

I haven't attempted to publish anything yet, but I'm getting close to sending a piece off for the first time. I don't normally write articles on non-fiction, so I'm trying to feel my way in how to present them on this website.

I normally write fiction. I write a combination of short stories and I am attempting one or two novels, all in different genres. Regarding reading, I do enjoy fantasy but only certain types. Namely, the ones that strive to try and be unique. But again, I read in different genres other than fantasy.

Over time when I have something to show, I hope to share a fair bit of my creative writing, rather than rely on submitting non-fiction articles.

I have mixed feelings about the fantasy genre as a whole, in all honesty. Some of it represents fine writing and some of it, not so much. It's not as though I dislike the genre either. I write and read within the genre myself. It's just that I get frustrated with it a lot of the time and for the same reasons the genre is a laughing stock and looked down upon. I believe many of those tired of the cliches and recycled ideas from other books can relate to this. Actually, should I take it a step further and say recycled ideas from the genre?
