I have had my own real estate brokerage for 18 years where I participated in land development, real estate investments, residential and commercial real estate.
From 1995 till 2000, I was also involved in day trading. Due to the "war wounds" I suffered during the Internet stock market bubble I've endured and survived my trading mistakes. I have become very astute in the area of technical analysis regarding the stock market. This has afforded me more knowledge in knowing when to buy, sell, or time anything I do in my day-to-day life.
For the past 12 years, I developed a simple trading system for my retirement account which has averaged between 20- 25% in annual returns.
I'm also knowledgeable in federal tax laws.
On a personal note, I've been happily married since 1980 and have two grown children. In the late 70's I had a tour of duty as a civilian working as a professional accountant for the Corps of Engineers. I met and married my husband there. We lived there for 3 years which afforded us extensive travelling around Europe and other parts of the world.
The highlight of my background is that I have learned about risk management in investing. However, I also apply it to making other life-choice decisions. I am a jack of all trades. If I don't know the answer to something, I know how to find it out. I hope to share my knowledge here through my writing.

Once a year, I do a financial housecleaning, from calculating my net worth to finding out how I can improve my cash flow. One thing I have noticed is more people seem to put more emphasis on what TV program they are watching than their own financial direction, using the excuse: "It's just too hard for me to understand or it's too late for me."
Most financial problems occur from lack of knowledge. If we understand first what we lack, we will realize what we need to know to improve our financial house.
Here is what you need to start a spring cleaning in your own financial house:
