: About Me

I am a single mother of two adult kids..18 and 20. My son is 18 and a senior in high school and my daughter is 20 and works full-time. They both still live at home with me, which I love, because they are my life and my love! They have been a lifesaver to me in the past year. On May 15, 2008 I had a heartattack and they have been the best at helping me recover. I don't know what I would have done without them.

I also am very close to my parents, they are a great inspiration to me! They have been married now for almost 43 years and my father has been very ill of late, so I am happy to be able to help them through all of this, as they have always helped me. I am an only child, and have always been very close to my family! I am also very lucky to have cousins that are like sisters and brothers to me, especially my dear cousin Jacci, she lives in Texas. She is my sister in my heart and extremely special to me!

I am a childcare director and preschool teacher for the local school system. I run a childcare center in an Alternative Education Junior and Senior High School and Adult Education Center. I have parents that range in age from 13 to 21. I not only teach my young children, but have classes for the parents in child development, raising a child, and playgroups where I can model the correct way to play and learn with your child. It is a very rewarding job and I love it dearly.
I am also a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and work closely with Birth to Five, Great Start, Michigan State Ext., and the local county ISD.

I have my associates degree in Early Childhood Education and have also ran a home business in Carpet Installation.

My life is very full, hectic, fun and happy. I hope you enjoy the articles I write.

I always have something on, whether it be music or the the 24 hour news channel in the background. I love music the most though!

winning a grant over everyone in the state for my childcare center from Evenstart, a Federal Program.

My inspiration ...

is to one day be an early childhood consultant for providers in the county and on the personal side to one day marry again, and also see my children have happy healthy lives, marriages and children
