Besides my fantasy epic and paid work, I write articles on-line and make short films. I write on average 2,000 words per day, which pretty much precludes me from holding down a 'proper job'; I have to write, or I'll go crazy and starve.

There's a world of difference between painting a single unique piece for role-playing and a large number of nigh identical war-gaming pieces. Although the basic mechanics are essentially the same, the method is not.
Setup:
To begin, lay out newspaper or prepare a piece of board for the purpose.
